Where We Dream To Be Pandora HBCU Mural — Atlanta, GA

The 160‑foot HBCU mural commissioned by Pandora stands along Northside Drive near the Mercedes‑Benz Stadium — a monumental ribbon of color, pride, and cultural memory. Designed and led by A’ja, the work honors the history, brilliance, and generational impact of Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
Stretching the length of a city block, the mural uses scale as a form of praise. Bold color fields, rhythmic patterns, and narrative symbolism echo the energy of marching bands, homecoming traditions, and the communal heartbeat that defines HBCU life. Each section of the mural uplifts themes of scholarship, creativity, resilience, and Black excellence.
The project was conceived as a public love letter to the students, alumni, educators, and communities who have shaped HBCUs into pillars of culture and innovation. From concept development to design and full project management, A’ja guided the entire process — ensuring the mural reflected both the legacy and the future of Black education.
Installed in one of Atlanta’s most visible corridors, the mural transforms the streetscape into a living celebration of identity, pride, and collective power.
